FROM THE END TO THE BEGINNING

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

1) to sweep bare, scrape

Here were three men. One on one side of eternity when the earth represented by the living water was barren. The other on the other bank or the barrenness at the end of the age. And we have the one clothed in linen, usually representing Christ, in the middle or standing in or on the waters. One on the bank or one side of the age ask him how long these wonders of the earth would be. Remember, the book of Daniel is generally describing things from the beginning to the end of the earthly kingdoms. From the head, beginning, and to the toes or tail in the Book of Revelation where we have the head of the serpent and the tail of the serpent symbolizing the beginning and the end.

He was asked how long the power of the Holy people would be scattered upon the earth, and it was for a

time 2000 yrs

times 4000 yrs

half a time 1000 yrs

or 7000 yrs

While Daniel talked about or described man's dominion on the earth through the statue of Nebuchadnezzar's dream this prophecy concerned the entire span of time on earth and the fulfillment of God's plan for the government of man. This prophecy is not the same as Daniel had been giving us earlier. He was told to seal up that prophecy and after this one he was told to do the same thing so you can see they were two distinct prophecies.

Working from the end to the beginning we have 7000 years to deal with.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.2

This hasn't happened yet so we know this particular 1000 years has not started yet. We know that 2011 +/- years has transpired since the birth of Jesus. That's 3011+/- accounted for. The Biblical accounts of the genealogy of Christ account for approximately 4000+/- years. So, to this point we have accounted for 7011+/- years. The 1000 yr. reign of Christ will be 986+/- years based o a 360 day year. That means the year of 2014 becomes very important.

Genesis 6:3

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. (Jubilee years)

1'That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine. 12'For it is the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.

15'According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor, and according to the number of years of crops he shall sell to you. 16'According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewer number of years you shall diminish its price; for he sells to you according to the number of the years of the crops. 3

As you can see here everything even the value of crops was measured according to the period of Jubilees. What we have here is three, forty jubilee periods of time. The "three" standing for the trinity of God. The three periods of forty or "testings," symbolic of the three dispensations of time. The first God dealt with the people, the second was the prophets and the law, and the third, the age of grace.

You could also describe the periods as a "testing" 2000 yrs.

"testings" 4000 yrs.

"and half a testing" (Satan bound) 1000 yrs.

In review, the world dominion of man (his days) will have a total of 120 Jubilees, the Israelites will have seventy (number of completion) Jubilees, and from the three dispensations, approximately 40 Jubilees each.

28And do thou write down for thyself all these words which I declare unto thee on this mountain, the first and the last, which shall come to pass in all the divisions of the days in the law and in the testimony and in the weeks and the jubilees unto eternity, until I descend and dwell 27 with them throughout eternity.' And He said to the angel of the presence: Write for Moses from 28 the beginning of creation till My sanctuary has been built among them for all eternity. And the Lord will appear to the eyes of all, and all shall know that I am the God of Israel and the Father of all the children of Jacob, and King on Mount Zion for all eternity. And Zion and Jerusalem shall 29 be holy.' And the angel of the presence who went before the camp of Israel took the tables of the divisions of the years -from the time of the creation- of the law and of the testimony of the weeks of the jubilees, according to the individual years, according to all the number of the jubilees [according, to the individual years], from the day of the [new] creation when the heavens and the earth shall be renewed and all their creation according to the powers of the heaven, and according to all the creation of the earth, until the sanctuary of the Lord shall be made in Jerusalem on Mount Zion, and all the luminaries be renewed for healing and for peace and for blessing for all the elect of Israel, and that thus it may be from that day and unto all the days of the earth.

This is a phenomenal statement by an accredited document written over a hundred years BC. Not to get too deep into this, but it is certainly worthy of study. It clearly relates the 120 years of man on earth to the number of Jubilees. 120 times 50 equals 6000 years of the dominion of man on earth. Literally, we were to celebrate every fiftieth year for 120 years. This equals 6000 years. Look up! Your redemption is near.
