WHY DO CHRISTIANS WANT PRAYER IN SCHOOL?
The fact is that true Christians should not want the true prayers and worship of our almighty Holy God, Jehovah, to be perverted in the pagan schools of this nation. The same court that took prayer out of school and separated itself (the government) from the people of God has made the schools a product of the world. To put prayer back into the pantheistic atmosphere would be an insult to any child of God.
Who would they pray to? Some nameless entity. You can bet, the name of Jesus or Jehovah would never come up. To pray to a nameless God, saying the word 'god', is deceitful and an attempt to lead many astray. I find it hard to believe that families would find it a victory if this prayer in school issue comes to fruition.
Do you trust the leaders of the prayers in school to pray to the one true God or would just any god do just as long as the word prayer is put back in school? Or does it just make you feel better knowing you've done something for God, or have you? You should read how the Bible tells you to pray first before you answer. If your child wants to pray he must first know what prayer is. Make sure he or she knows where and how to pray. It may not be in front of a classroom.
If one knows nothing of the doctrine of the Bible, how do they understand the will of God? Jesus says we should pray that the will of the Father will be done? Children are not always interested in the will of God, or yours for that matter.
MATTHEW 6
5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 1
To the schools that teach self esteem and humanism to be counted worthy would be a slap in the face. Little Johnny is not only worthy, but a sure thing for any kingdom of any god.
